...Before your appointment, cleanse your skin and apply your usual daytime moisturizer.
When preparing for your wedding, skincare should be put on high priority! The better
condition your skin is in, the better your makeup will look and feel. Keeping your skin
smooth and hydrated should be your main focus in the months leading up to the
wedding. Not to worry if your skin isn't absolutely perfect - nobody's is! As long as skin is
well maintained, makeup can easily and seamlessly cover imperfections like dark circles,
blemishes, and redness.

Here are my recommendations, as a makeup artist, on how to prepare your skin for
flawless makeup and flawless photos...
...Make a trip to your spa, and get a good facial to address any problem areas that you
would want cleared up 6 months from now. Continue to get facials every 2-3 months. The
last facial you have should be about 1 week before your big day.

...If you are not already on a good skincare regiment that works for you, I recommend
starting one for day and night. Your skincare consultant will recommend the proper
products for your skin type. A skincare routine typically consists of a cleanser, toner,
and moisturizer, eye cream, as well as a scrub used 1-2 times/week.
...Exfoliate your face with a gentle scrub to loosen any dull, flakey patches that may
clutter the surface of your skin. Apply a facial mask the caters to your skin's needs (for
example, a hydrating mask if you have dry skin or a clay mask for oily skin). These 2 steps
will ensure that you have a great base for a flawless makeup application.

...Also, tweeze any stray brow hairs the day before so any redness/swelling will have
time to go down.
...Have your brows professionally shaped. And, since you will be getting 'up close and
personal' with the camera on your wedding day, I also recommend having your upper lip
waxed.
