Where are your trials held?

Option #1: Cosmetics Counter
The most popular option is to come to the cosmetics counter that I
am currently working at in Ottawa for an in-store trial run.

There is no charge for a trial at the counter, as I follow the
department store's policy stating that a makeup session is FREE
with the purchase of 2 products.

I usually recommend the 2 products to be the lipstick that you and I
decide on for your wedding, as well as a pressed powder for your
own personal touch-ups throughout the night.

These are products you will need to purchase for your wedding
anyway, so having your trial at the counter is quite economical.
Please
contact us to set up an appointment.

Option #2: In-home
If you prefer a more private setting, I would be more than happy to
provide you with an in-home trial. Please
contact us to set up an
appointment.

When should I book my trial?

In order to secure your wedding day booking,  a 50% deposit must
be made. Most brides, understandably, don't like to put any money
down until they've had their trial, so I would strongly recommend
booking your trial run as soon as possible.

Ideally, your trial may be booked for your engagement photos, bridal
shower etc...

What should I bring to my trial?

Anything you would like me to draw inspiration from, such as:

  • Pictures of makeup styles you like
  • Pictures of your hair style or dress
  • Swatches of your bridesmaids dresses
  • and/or, a camera so we can take some pictures of the
    finished product!

Feel free to bring along a friend/mom/bridesmaid...It's always great
to get feedback from the people who know you best!

I usually recommend coming to your trial with your everyday makeup
on. This will allow me to get an idea of the intensity of makeup you're
comfortable with. When I have an idea of your personal style, it
makes it a lot easier to design a look that allows you to still look like
yourself.

The Trial Run

Before you commit to booking, trial runs are always offered to the
bride and whoever else in the wedding party would like one.

Having a trial is very important, as it is the time where you and your
makeup artist will design your own personal bridal look to suit your
tastes and style.

Be prepared to try lots of different colors, intensities, and
styles...sometimes it may take more than one trial to find that one
perfect look!
